Below are the shows that are available to any Poly student. Other shows throughout the year are cast from one of our theatre arts classes.

Audition for the “fetch” 2026 Poly musical:

Mean Girls (High School Version)

All Poly students who can commit to an after-school rehearsal schedule December 1st-February 25th are welcome to audition.  Performances will be February 26-28th in the Poly Auditorium.

1st Step! Fill out this GOOGLE FORM to Audition

Remember, you cannot be cast at Poly or perform in a Poly show unless your GPA is over 2.0 and all tardies are cleared. Our musical enters the Jerry Herman competition for high school musical theatre.  We have a reputation of excellence, which we expect from ourselves and from each other.  Therefore, if an  absence is not listed in the audition form, there will be a maximum of 3 strikes attendance policy.  We may be able to work around Jackrabbit Pageant or other class conflicts depending on the circumstance.  Illness is sometimes unavoidable.  However, participation in the Musical cannot be a lower priority to you than clubs or family parties.  Your ability to communicate is crucial. “I didn’t know” is not a valid excuse. Information will be available through Canvas, Remind, lbpolydrama, and signage if you are looking. We sometimes double-cast.

  • Movement/Dance auditions are Tuesday, November 4th 3:50 - 5:50 in the Auditorium.  No preparation is necessary, but come dressed to move! When you are finished with your audition, you may leave.

Dance auditions are early to avoid conflict with dance show!

  • Vocal auditions are Monday-Tuesday, November 17-18 in 851, the Poly Playhouse.   Prepare a memorized one minute singing audition from a musical theatre song with a karaoke track.

  • Some students will be called back for further acting auditions 19-20th.  If your prepared audition song shows character and personality, you are more likely to be called back.

  • Vocal auditions are in room 851, the Poly Playhouse from 4:00 - 5:45.

  • When you are finished with your audition, you may leave.

  • If you miss dance auditions, you may learn the combo during Wednesday lunch on the 5th in 851, and audition Thursday the 6th during lunch.

  • EVERYONE is better at either dance OR singing. You must show your willingness to try BOTH by submitting both auditions, but a recorded singing audition is accepted if you just want to be considered for chorus.

  • Every role doesn’t require high levels of dancing and singing.  Just do your best so we see “Where You Belong”!

After completion of BOTH the dance (Nov 4) and vocal (Nov 17th -18th) auditions, and possible acting callbacks, a cast list will be posted on the door of 851  and on lbpolydrama.com before Fall Break.  You might be cast in the ensemble even if you are not called back for a lead.  If your name is on the list, follow all steps of the contract, and bring it after school to 851 December 1st, the day you return from Fall Break, for further instructions.

If you have specific concerns, or to submit video auditions, please email Mrs. Bon lbon@lbschools.net*  Video auditions work best if you create an unlisted YouTube link.
*If you a student of Mrs. Bon, Canvas emails work well too.
