Thank you all for your patience and enthusiasm! Over 110 talented students auditioned this year!
If you were NOT cast, try again next year! The level of entry was higher this year than last year because of the total numbers (last year only 80 auditioned). To improve your chances next year, I recommend these electives: Choir to tune your pitch and add power, Theatre Arts to increase your confidence and expression, and Dance to improve your movement. Many students have made progress with outside vocal training, and Musical Theatre West offers wonderful Saturday workshops. I am thrilled to see amazing progress by many students this year over last year.
If you HAVE been cast, congratulations!
It is YOUR responsibility to be in FULL communication so that you do not miss rehearsals. 2 missed rehearsals without giving 24 hours advanced written communication to Bon results in recasting.

#5: Check the REHEARSAL SCHEDULE on lbpolydrama.com. Read
carefully. Check with all other family and school possible conflicts. Immediately notify Mrs. Bon (email) if
you must miss practices or cannot attend performances. A general schedule is under “calendar” on this website.
An itemized rehearsal schedule will be updated over Fall Break.
#6: Get a parent to sign the CONTRACT before the Fri Nov 22nd rehearsal. Paper contracts will
be available in Mrs. Bon’s room on Monday. Include $20 Musicals donation. This covers the cost
of your cast tshirt.
Please - I prefer a smaller cast! No regrets, just respectfully and professionally drop NOW so the cast can be quickly reassembled. If you delay, miss deadlines and practices, and drop after Fall Break, I am unlikely to cast you again.
If you have been cast, but have decided not to accept the listed role or commit to after school practices, inform me through email right now lbon@lbschools.net so I can re-cast your role immediately.
If you miss both your listed days for initial choreography with our professional choreographer, you miss your opportunity to be in that particular number. Please respect her time. The average song takes 2 days to choreograph, and all participants need to occupy their spot.
General dates are on CALENDAR on lbpolydrama.com. A specific itemized rehearsal schedule will be posted on lbpolydrama.com over Thanksgiving break. Check back!
CAST LIST - Casting decisions were reached by the team of Mr. Dokko, Ms. Lozada, Ms. Bon in careful and fair deliberation, with input by our choreographer, Kim Arnett. Decisions were reached focusing on the overall quality of the production, based on the preparation and quality of the preliminary audition, information gained through the callback, and our past experience with participants. It is natural to have questions and disappointments about casting. Please hold your questions. If you still wonder in December, I will be happy to address those questions by appointment. Please think forward, and let us focus on getting everyone processed and in communication. If you weren’t cast but want to be involved, please see Mrs. Gathe and Ms. Lozada about Tech!
