November 20 Singing Audition - Prepare a one-minute selection from a musical theatre song that shows off your vocal strengths. Memorize and practice this song with a karaoke track. A Capella (no recorded track) is discouraged.

November 21 Callbacks - No preparation necessary.

Performances will be February 20-22nd in the Poly Auditorium.

“Poetry Slam”

This is the 4th year of a fabulous evening of Slam Poetry and Jazz. Winners of individual class SLAMS compete. Non-theatre students may audition their memorized, original 1-3 minute poem with Mrs. Bon for consideration in the school Slam by December 18th - drop in during lunch or nutrition.
Slam Date: Thursday, January 16th

Theatre Arts Classes:

Incoming Sophomore through Senior students who have extensive Theatre Arts experience may wish to audition for Intermediate Theatre Arts, rather than starting at Poly with Intro Class. Mrs. Bon will see auditions the first 3 weeks of school for possible transfer in 2019-2020. Also, she will see placement auditions for 2020-2021 in April and May. Please see Mrs. Bon in 851 for an appointment during lunch, nutrition, or after school. Skipping a class depends on student talent and classroom space availability. Current qualified Theatre Arts students have priority.

AUDITION: a one-minute memorized monologue from a published play.
